Harrison's Cave
Harrison’s Cave is a
spectacular place and therefore is well worth the visit. It’s one of the
Barbados Tourism Encyclopedia’s “Seven Wonders of Barbados”. So, it
is one of the island’s most famous attractions.
Harrison’s Cave amazing
gallery of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, and stalagmites emerging
from the ground. Furthermore, the streams of running water dropping from
breathtaking waterfalls to form deep emerald pools are a must.
The most popular way to see
the cave is by the electrically operated trams down through the extensive
system of caves. During the tour, the guides give historical information on the
cave. At the lowest level point in the cave, you can walk alongside a
spectacular waterfall which plunges into a deep pool below. This is truly an
awesome wonder!
In conclusion, to your visit,
there is a refreshment area and handicraft shops. In addition, with an exhibit
of Amerindian artefacts that were excavated from various sites around the
island.
